Flat Flex Belting

Enrober belting is a highly specialised wire conveyor belt designed specifically for use in chocolate enrobing machines and confectionery coating applications. The belt must simultaneously support the product being coated, allow excess chocolate or coating to drain cleanly through the mesh, and present a surface that releases cleanly without product adhesion or marking.

Meshcape Industries supplies enrober belting to confectionery manufacturers and food processors across South Africa. Our enrober belts are manufactured to the precise specifications required by enrobing equipment, ensuring correct fitment, consistent coating drainage, and long service life in the demanding conditions of continuous confectionery production.

Standard wire conveyor belts are not suitable for enrobing applications. Enrober belting must meet a specific set of requirements that only a purpose-designed belt construction can deliver:

Precise open area

The belt must allow liquid chocolate or coating to drain through freely without pooling, while still fully supporting the product above.

Dimensional accuracy

Enrober belts must be manufactured to tight dimensional tolerances to ensure correct tracking and fitment in the enrobing machine.

Smooth wire surface

The wire surface must be smooth enough to prevent product marking or imprinting from the belt pattern.

Hygienic construction

The belt must be fully cleanable to food industry standards between production runs.

Clean release

The belt must release from setting chocolate without tearing, smearing, or product adhesion.

Enrober belting from Meshcape Industries is used in the following confectionery, food production and fishing industry applications:

Wire Conveyor Belting running through chocolate

Enrober belts are manufactured in food-grade materials appropriate for direct contact with chocolate and confectionery products:

Stainless Steel AISI 304 and 316

The standard material for food contact applications, providing the corrosion resistance and hygiene performance required in confectionery production.
