Vibrating High Tensile Screen
Purpose-engineered high tensile wire screen meshes for vibratory screening machines, delivering maximum service life in the most demanding mining, quarrying and aggregate processing environments.

High Tensile Vibrating Screens
Modern high-speed vibratory screening machines place extreme demands on screen media. The combination of high-frequency vibration, impact loading, and abrasive material creates conditions that standard wire mesh simply cannot withstand over time. Vibrating high tensile screen meshes are specifically engineered to meet these demands, providing the screening performance, open area, and service life that production operations require.
Meshcape Industries supplies a comprehensive range of vibrating high tensile screens to clients across South Africa’s mining, quarrying, sand and gravel, aggregate processing, and ore beneficiation sectors. Our screens are manufactured to the highest international standards, with custom specifications available to order.
Why High Tensile?
The choice of wire material is one of the most critical factors in determining screen performance and longevity. High tensile steel wire offers a unique combination of properties that make it the preferred choice for vibratory screening applications:
Abrasion resistance
High tensile spring steel withstands the severe surface wear caused by continuous contact with quarried stone, ore, sand, and aggregate.
Longer screen life
The combination of abrasion and fatigue resistance translates directly into extended service life, fewer screen changes, and reduced production downtime.
Fatigue resistance
The high tensile strength of the wire allows it to absorb the repeated flexing and impact of vibratory screening without premature wire breakage.
Consistent aperture retention
High tensile wire maintains its shape under load, ensuring accurate and consistent sizing performance throughout the life of the screen.
Applications
Vibrating high tensile screen meshes from Meshcape Industries are used in the following applications:
Mining & Ore Processing
Sizing and classification of ore and minerals on primary, secondary, and tertiary screening decks.
Quarrying
Stone sizing across a range of product specifications on high-speed vibratory equipment.
Beneficiation Plants
Screening and classification in mineral processing and ore treatment operations.
Sand & Gravel Processing
Wet and dry screening of natural sand and gravel deposits.
Aggregate Production
Precise product sizing for road building, concrete, and construction aggregate.

Weave Constructions
The correct weave construction significantly affects screen performance, throughput, and resistance to blinding. We supply vibrating screens in a range of specialist constructions:
Sinus Weave
The standard construction offering maximum open area relative to wire diameter. Ideal where high throughput is the primary requirement and blinding is not a significant concern.
Square Harp & Tria Harp
Maximum capacity screen constructions engineered to virtually eliminate blinding. The Square Harp is ideal where conformity to nominal size range is critical. The Tria Harp offers the same advantages in more robust screening conditions.
Flat Top
A smooth working surface with all crimping on the underside. Allows material to move freely across the screen surface, minimising plugging and maintaining consistent throughput.

Materials
Our vibrating high tensile screen meshes are available in:
High Tensile Steel
Tough, abrasion-resistant spring steel — the standard choice for most quarrying, mining, and aggregate applications.
Stainless Steel
Various grades available for applications involving moisture, corrosive materials, or where metal contamination must be avoided.
Screen Edge Options
Correct screen tensioning is essential for maximising service life and screening performance. We supply screens with appropriate edge configurations to suit your machine, including plain edges, hooked edges for drum-head tensioning, and reinforced edge options for fine screen cloths. The correct edge specification is matched to the make and model of your screening equipment.
